Wall Systems
Modular wall systems are prefabricated elements designed to divide interior space. They are built all, or partially off-site, delivered and ready to be install and can be reconfigured or relocated without major construction work.
Modular walls offer flexibility to reconfigure spaces as needs change, without demolition or downtime. They can support power and data integration, reduce waste and can be reused or relocated, making them a smart alternative to fixed construction.
Using modular walls systems redistributes the expenses of a project, so while the material cost can be more expensive, modular wall projects save time, reduce waste, and increase the level of performance of a space. Additionally, the depreciation of the expense is accelerated, and the net impact can be quite nominal.
- Modular construction offers consistent pricing for predictability and transparency for materials.
- Installation labor costs vary by geographic location due to local market conditions, union versus non-union, etc.
- Modular construction significantly shortens construction time, enabling faster project completion which reduces the site management, financing and potential delays affecting a project.
- Modular construction limits the number of on-site trades, streamlining labor coordination and minimizing disruptions.
Haworth Architectural Solutions walls offer industry leading acoustic performance based on material and glass type. All STC ratings are tested in an independent lab, and certified reports are available.
We can provide results and/or offer consulting services for the following acoustic ratings & tests:
- STC (Sound Transmission Class) – How well a wall or partition blocks airborne sound. (ASTM E90)
- NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) – How much sound a material (ASTM C423)
- NIC (Noise Isolation Class) – Real=world sound isolation between spaces. (ASTM E336)
- Field Acoustic Testing – On-site verification of installed assemblies (ASTM E336)
Yes, Haworth Architectural Solutions come with a 10-year limited warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship for products.
Haworth Architectural Solutions walls are manufactured in zero waste-to-landfill facilities and carry certifications like BIFMA Level 3, GPS and Declare labels. These reflect Haworth’s commitment to sustainable design and transparency.
Glass Walls
Haworth Architectural Solutions offer a variety of systems including unitized glass panels, moveable frameless glass, single-glazed and double-glazed – each designed to meet different performance, aesthetic and budget requirements.
Yes, our glass wall systems offer a wide range of customization options including finishes, hardware, configurations, decorative elements. All can integrate with the solid walls and building elements in traditional construction.
Haworth Architectural Solutions walls are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for reconfiguration or relocation to support the evolving needs of each customer.
Haworth Architectural Solutions glass walls are engineered for high acoustic performance with options that meet or exceed industry standards for sound isolation. Actual acoustic performance is based on glass type and door selection.
Solid Walls
Solid walls provide enhanced privacy, strong acoustic performance and a clean, architectural aesthetic that support space division and can easily be changed or updated over time. Each comes in a range of material types, supporting varying aesthetic and functional requirements.
Haworth Architectural Solutions offer a range of solid wall solutions including unitized and site-built products, each designed to meet specific performance and aesthetic needs.
Absolutely. Our solid wall systems offer a variety of finishes, materials and configurations to align with a specific brand and vision.
Haworth Architectural Solutions solid walls are engineered for the highest acoustic performance and meet or exceed industry standards for sound isolation. Actual acoustic performance is based on material type and door selection.
Freestanding Architecture
Freestanding architecture refers to a modular, self-supporting structure that defines space without relying on the base-building’s core elements. These structures can be used indoors or outside.
Our systems offer flexibility, speed of installation and minimal disruption to the base building. They can create rooms, zones or a sense of place without construction and typically do not require building permits or structural modifications.
Our systems can be installed to meet seismic zone requirements.
Our systems are designed to accommodate lighting, AV, power and data, making them ideal for modern spaces that require connectivity.
Enclosed Spaces
An enclosed space is an engineered, self-contained 3-dimensional space, designed to provide acoustic privacy for individuals and small groups that can easily be placed in any environment or building types. They are designed to keep the sound in and the distractions from the open space out.
Typically, no. Because Haworth Architectural Solutions pods are freestanding, they can be installed, typically in less than 4 hours, without structural changes or permits to the base building, making them ideal for leased spaces or additions to existing environments.
We offer a range of pod sizes and configurations – from single-user focus booths to multi-person meeting pods that support a range of needs for individuals and small groups.
Our enclosed pods include integrated lighting and ventilation that is activated upon entry. Their power is provided by plugging into a traditional outlet making it a quick and easy addition to any space to support individual and small group acoustic needs.
